 I am approaching to you with not an easy request - please save my life! I am 32 years old. Until December 2010, I lived as many young girls of our country - worked, met with friends, went to concerts, visited museums, and enjoyed the life. But in December 2010, everything changed dramatically; I felt discomfort in the right breast.
After the examination in the Mammogram Center by MD A. H. Hakobyan, I learned that I had cancer - invasive ductal carcinoma of the right breast.
I was operated in the Medical Center "Shengavit" by Associate Professor A.V. Stepanyan. The histological studies have shown presence of tumors not only in the breast, but in 9 of 18 lymph nodes removed during the surgery. Tests conducted at the Center of Genetic Research on
Because of these indicators besides chemotherapy I was assigned to be treated by the drug called Herceptin, which costs $ 3,000 per vial (1,200,000 Armenian drams).
Due to the high cost of Herceptin and the lack of appropriate financial means my treatment was postponed. It brought to a terrible result – metastases in the liver and the skeleton – a relapse...
Thanks to my family, friends and complete strangers, who heard about my grief, a Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Help-to-Elen-Kalashyan/136144193130792?ref=ts) was opened in the Internet, where they told about me and turned to their friends for help. As a result I received a priceless aid and I managed to get 14 courses of chemotherapy and Herceptin. The treatment outcome was very favorable – the disease recedes. Of the 15 metastases throughout the body remained THREE. After 19 months of desperate fighting was going to a complete recovery!
BUT ... During the next examination on 14/05/2012, conducted by the German oncologist, Professor Dr. Ch. Sohn, I was prescribed an urgent surgery in the "Nairi" Medical Center, which was carried out successfully by Professor Dr. Ch. Sohn. After another 5 weeks – one more surgery was conducted by him, and a new treatment course was prescribed – 18 more months of therapy with Herceptin or Tyverb drugs.
Next treatment by Herceptin was scheduled for August 3.
Because of high risk in my case the health professionals, doctors-chemotherapists refused to administer the Herceptin or Tayverb. It turned out that I have serious problems with the heart and liver (the effects of the received chemotherapy).
Now I only have one chance – the traditional Oriental treatment methods.
My family already negotiates with Chinese doctors about the treatment, they say that in my condition the cure is feasible, but I have to go to China.
The cost of accommodation, interpreter services and the treatment make approximately $3500 - 4000 per month not counting flights.
Without this treatment the only hope is to rely on God’s mercy...
Now we have to solve the problems with the visa, tickets, and the treatment itself, and we don’t have the money for it again.
